This may not be the complete package for a figure drawing book, but it’s sort of a comprehensive cheat sheet. It cuts down large chunks of text and just keeps the main points. I constantly refer back to many of its pages. The artwork is great! Also, its references are edgy and dynamic. This book mainly focuses on the comic book art style, with a few pages of manga styling.

If you’re feeling in the mood for an online class, then this will do the trick! This course will start you from basic shapes and take you each step of proportional figure drawing. Clayton will also teach you common mistakes that are often made. He will also show you how to apply perspective to your figures.
